South America 765kV Substation Project Express
The 14 transformers and accessories of the South America 765kV Substation Project have departed from Shanghai port in early December 2021 and arrived at the local port on February 11, 2022, thus officially starting the project site work. The project team arrived in South America on February 18, 2022 as planned. At present, the four transformers of the San Geronimo Substation have been transported to the site and put in place, and the on-site installation work is proceeding in an orderly manner. Three of the four transformers at the Guri Substation have been placed on site, and on-site installation work will also be carried out successively. This project has high voltage level, scattered sites, complex working conditions, and difficult project execution. The company rated this project as a group-level project, focusing on and allocating resources to fully support it. At the same time, the project is also a local national key project, and the operation of the equipment affects the power supply of the whole country. After the personnel of the project department arrive at the site, they worked with the subcontractors to implement inland transportation and tools and equipment required for site installation to ensure that supporting resources are in place; developed a detailed project execution plan, managed the project execution progress to ensure the construction period. Facing many difficulties such as the particularity of the project, the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, local security chaos, language barriers, and a 12-hour time difference with China, the project team had the courage to challenge, was anxious about the urgency of the project, and thought about what the client wanted, resolutely went to the project site and went deep into the field work, which truly reflects the spirit of "Taikai people"!
