Great news at the start of the Lunar New Year! Shandong Taikai Power Engineering Co.,Ltd., together with its partners in a consortium, has successfully won the bid for the Cambodia National Grid Upgrade Project, demonstrating strong professional strength and marking another milestone in the company’s global expansion.

         Funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), this project is a key initiative for Cambodia’s power grid development. It includes 4 new substations and 1 expansion substation at 230kV and 115kV voltage levels. Upon completion, the project will effectively improve the local power grid structure, enhance power supply reliability, and provide a stronger energy foundation for local livelihood and economic growth.

        This achievement comes after nearly a year of dedication and intensive efforts. Since the bid submission on March 11, 2025, the project went through a rigorous and lengthy evaluation process. Our team maintained an excellence attitude throughout, refining the bidding proposal repeatedly and responding efficiently to multiple rounds of clarification from the employer during the evaluation stage. TKEC promptly and accurately addressed core technical and commercial issues, demonstrating the outstanding professional competence. Our team has repeatedly traveled to the front line to coordinate and communicate with relevant parties. Overcomes various difficulties with persistent determination, and earns the trust of employers through integrity, solid professionalism and unwavering dedication.

        This bid award not only reflects TKEC’s comprehensive strength but also represents the success of collaborative cooperation among consortium partners. It fully demonstrates the high recognition of the Asian Development Bank and Cambodian parties toward TKEC’s technology, management and service capabilities, while accumulating valuable experience for TKEC’s diversified overseas cooperation. As an important breakthrough for TKEC in Southeast Asia , this project marks a solid step forward in TKEC’s development toward globalization, diversification and partnership, building a new bridge for energy cooperation between China and Cambodia.

        Action fulfills our original aspiration. To ensure efficient and smooth project implementation, the Chairman and General Manager of TKEC personally visited Cambodia for on-site inspections, thoroughly evaluating site conditions, local construction environment and preparatory details, and laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.

        During the inspection visit, the General Manager of TKEC and the partners held special on-site meetings, during which they conducted in-depth discussions and reached consensus on key matters including project construction organization, technical standards, and cross-party coordination. The two sides also visited the partner’s on-site office and took a group photo, which further deepened their cooperative friendship and strengthened their determination to join hands to overcome challenges and build a high-quality project.

       As the new year begins, TKEC is ready to forge ahead. Going forward, TKEC will take this project as an opportunity to work closely with partners, adhere to international standards, and strive to build a benchmark project for China-Cambodia energy cooperation.
