On September 13th, the Nigeria AfDB Project Department of Shandong Taikai Power Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully completed a charitable well-drilling project in the Jaji community of Nigeria. This initiative concretely embodied their commitment to the philosophy of "Serving Society through Engineering, Benefiting Livelihoods through Development," effectively alleviating the long-standing challenges of water scarcity and unsafe drinking water faced by local residents.

   The Jaji community has long grappled with the practical difficulties of inconvenient water access and uncertain safety of drinking water. While progressing diligently with the construction of the substation project, the Nigeria AfDB Project Department of TKEC conducted in-depth assessments of the community's actual needs and proactively launched this charitable well-drilling effort. The project team swiftly deployed specialized technical personnel and construction equipment, efficiently completing the drilling and water source development. With the steady flow of clean water, the daily living conditions of the community residents have seen significant improvement.

   This charitable effort was carried out alongside the Nigeria AfDB Substation Project. This crucial local power infrastructure project is EPC-contracted by Shanghai Electric and constructed by Shandong Taikai Power Engineering Co., Ltd. While dedicated to enhancing the region's power supply capacity, the project team consistently emphasizes integrated development with the community, actively fulfills corporate social responsibilities, and demonstrates the commitment and compassion of Chinese enterprises.

   At the handover of the water point, community representatives highly commended TKEC for their charitable act. They highlighted that this well-drilling project not only tangibly resolved their drinking water issues but also showcased the pragmatic attitude and active contribution of Chinese enterprises towards improving local livelihoods.
