Zambia L Substation Project
Owner:Zambia Ministry of Housing and Construction
Scope:The project mainly involves the new KKIA substation (132/11kV), CHONGWE station, M1 station, shopping mall switch station, and 7.5KM overhead lines between stations. The work scope includes expanding two 132kV cable outgoing compartments at CHONGWE station and renovating the existing 33kV outgoing terminal tower, as well as four 11kV cable outgoing lines at the new KKIA substation.
Introduction:This project is a key engineering project that provides power assurance for the normal operation of the upgraded and expanded Lusaka International Airport in Zambia. Our company signed a subcontract with Jiangxi International to undertake all engineering works. The project officially started in August 2019 and was completed and energized in November 2020 after 15 months of construction. It was officially handed over to the owner in January 2022, marking the complete closure of the project.
