Uganda NH Substation Project
Client: Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited.
Scope: New 220/132/33kV Hoima Substation and New 132/220kV Nkenda Extension Substation.
Overview:In August 2015, Shandong Taikai Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) signed the Uganda 220kV NH Substation Project. Funded by the French Development Agency and with FICHTNER as the consulting company, The project was officially started in December 2015, and the energization was successfully completed in April 2018, and it has been running well so far. The completion of the project will greatly enhance Uganda's power transmission and transformation capabilities and “charge” the local economic development.
