Tanzania GB Substation Project
Client: Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited
Scope: A new 220/33/11kV, 2×50MVA, outdoor AIS type substation.
Overview:In August 2018, the Tanzania GB Substation and Transmission Line Project was signed. The project includes LOT A: Substation and LOT B: Transmission Line. Our company is responsible for the project execution of LOT A, which is the new 220kV G Substation and the 220kV B Substation’s expansion. The project is funded by OFID and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa with an Egyptian company as the consultant. The project officially started on January 16, 2019, and the energization was successfully completed on September 16, 2020, and it has been running well so far.
